Indigenous Catholic Research Fellowship
Unity Prayer
We ask members and supporters to join us in this daily prayer, or as regularly as they are able:

Father, Great Spirit, You have always been here in this land. For untold generations, You sustained your people through gifts of Your love. You revealed Yourself in the ancient spiritual ways of Your people. You sent your Mother to the Talking Eagle, St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, to reveal the fullness of Your love in Your Son. Since then, holy people throughout the centuries, like St. Kateri Tekakwitha, have become beacons of Your grace. And You continually call us to conversion. You have given us holy examples, like Nicholas Black Elk and Joseph Chiwatenhwa, who clarify the meaning of the undying love of Your Son Jesus Christ.
Help us as we gather anew to honor the legacy of our ancestors. Help us as we seek to cultivate the gift of Indigenous Catholic Faith, that it may fully shine in the Universal Church and in a broken world. Help us as we seek to shine in all we do with the love of Jesus Christ.
St. Anne and St. Joachim, help us to see the love that all our ancestors have passed down to us through the ages.
St. Juan Diego, help us to see hope in the midst of suffering.
Virgin of Guadalupe, help us to bring Your Son to places where His
name has been scarred by misuse.
St. Kateri, help us on our journey so that our last words may be, “Jesus, I love You.”
Nicholas Black Elk, Servant of God, help us to see our traditions in the light of Christ.
Joseph Chiwatenhwa, pray for us that we may have courage.
Bartolomé de las Casas, help us not be afraid to work against injustice when we see it.
Rose Prince, Servant of God, give us the peace to live within the ambiguity of our history, lamenting the suffering while living in its beauty.
Amen.
